infoSync World reviews the Canon Vixia HF S21 high-definition camcorder. For the full review, visit www.infosyncworld.com It's a big, brash bully with an intimidating 52mm filter diameter and stealth black chassis. Yes, the Canon Vixia HF S21 is here, and it sits at the top of Canon's HD totem pole for 2010. With the ability to record 1920x1080 HD video at 24Mbps in four different frame rates, the Vixia HF S21 is a tough machine to beat. The monster also roars with a 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD that functioned excellently, and a host of semi-pro features like dual SDHC card slots, Zebra patterns, peaking, and Gain control. We liked using the Control dial, which could be assigned to three different Manual controls, but wish Canon had added a lens ring instead. AVCHD, though in its honeymoon stage, is still a relatively new format, so if you're looking for a simple drag-and-drop video file solution, the HF S21 will not help you unless you have a firm knowledge of NLEs. Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens. They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also saturate colors and increase contrast. Polarizers come in two variations but have the same effect. Linear polarizers work with older camera meters; Circurlar polarizers are designed for today's newer split-beam metering systems used in auto focus cameras. Check your camera's manual. Hardened Glass: Hardened optical glass that has 4 times the breaking strength in ANSI standardized testing (ANSI Z80.3 : 2001) where a steel balls of varying size and weight were dropped from a height of 50 inches onto the glass. High Transparency Polarizing Film; The polarizing film is the same as that used in the latest high definition LCD TV screens. It has 25% higher light transmission than standard polarizing film used in current photographic filters. Hardened 8 Layer Waterproof Multi-Coating That is Scratch & Stain Resistant: Newly developed industry leading 8-layer multi-coating yields an average light transmission rate of 99.35% between 400 and 700nm (visible spectrum). These coatings greatly reduce reflections off the surface of the glass allowing you tocapture more light in your photos. As with all HOYA multi-coatings,HD HMC is applied in a furnace at high heat, bonding the coating to the

www.learningdslrvideo.com Works great for seeing the screen in harsh outdoor lighting Exposure is harder to judge, even dark scenes 2 stops low look property exposure using the finder, adjust screen brightness? Motion of the playback looks chopper than it actually is perhaps because of all the magnification. I am on a list to review the new Sony Alpha 77 camera - no need for this? I am sold on the idea of owning one of these, I just want to review some in the 5 range to see if there is that big of a difference. I like the eye cup nice and soft Mounting is a little slow, meaning several times I have headed outside for a quick shot and didn't have the mounting plate and and said ah screw it too much work I don't have time to put it on the camera. I love the idea as a tool, I just can't recommend it for the price unless you are a pro like Philip Bloom. If you are a pro and on the set where thousands of dollars of money is going by each hour then you might want to buy the best. 5 is a lot of money for this thing for a hobbyist Works nice on my Manfrotto monopod Will it work on a Tilt screen? Canon 70-200mm Big Battle (f/2.8, f/2.8 II & f/4) Tube. Duration : 9.62 Mins.
The 70-200mm is one of the most popular lenses around, but Canon has a few options available. Of course, the f/2.8 IS II is the newest, but what about the older version and f/4 version - do they make good alternatives?
